MDO is a non-profitable, non-governmental and social organization working in Achham district. It has been working among disadvantaged, marginalized, women and children who are living in the vicious circle of traditional and conservative society that knowingly or unknowingly tramples and discriminates against women, Dalits and economically weak people. It has been running its activities in the field of education, poverty reduction, drinking water and sanitation, fruits and vegetable farming and capacity-building of Community Based Organizations (CBOs). It was established and registered in 2050 B.S with the District Administration Office, Achham. It has affiliation with Social Welfare Council, NGO Federation of Nepal and Non-Governmental Organization Coordination Committee (NGOCC) Achham. The executive board of this organization is comprised of experienced social workers. Of the total board members, 33% are women and 20% are Dalits. It’s central office is at Mangalsen in Achham while the branch office is at Anamnagar, Kathmandu.
